This class is available for advanced students that have taken at least four ceramics classes at CMA or have received instructor approval to take the class. Form, surface design, glazing, and firing will be explored in greater depth during this class. Advanced students who have taken five or more CMA ceramics classes or working at a level determined to be advanced by the instructor will be required to do their own firing in cooperation with the Canton Ceramic Artists Guild to deepen their understanding of the process. $227

Ceramics Independent Study (Winter) (Prerequisite: 3 CMA Ceramics classes or more)Advanced Begins 12/29/2024, Ends 03/02/2025 Deadline to Register: 12-27-2024 10 Sundays, 01:00 PM-02:00 PM Room 104 Instructor: Sarah DeBaun Advanced ceramics students are now eligible for independent study at CMA! This option is available for a limited number of students who have taken at least three ceramics classes at CMA. Your registration fee provides access to the studio during all open studio hours, a locker for storage, access to studio tools and equipment, and a professional teaching artist mentor available to get you set up and answer any questions via email. Studio hours run from 9/29/24 - 12/15/24 (Minus adjusted hours due to museum closures) which coincides with our ceramics class schedule. Students with ceramics experience outside of CMA are not eligible for registration, as students need a strong working knowledge of CMA studio safety and procedures. $110
