Canton POS
CANCELLED - Stark County High School Art Exhibit (March 25, 2020 - April 5, 2020)
Due to growing health concerns about the COVID-19 virus and guidance from health organizations, the Stark County High School Art Exhibition scheduled for March 24 – April 5 has been cancelled. We appreciate all of the hard work from our talented students, and hope that we will be able to see many of their pieces in 2021.
We appreciate your patience, flexibility, and understanding in this rapidly-evolving situation that we will continue to monitor. Updates are available on CMA’s Coronavirus update page.
Since 1991, the Canton Museum of Art has proudly held the Stark County High School Art Exhibition. Any high school in Stark County or connected with the Stark County ESC is invited to participate. Students have the chance to show their artwork in a gallery, sell their work, receive awards, and even win financial scholarships. Meanwhile, the public has the opportunity to marvel at the unbelieveable talent of students in our community - many of whom may go on to have careers in the arts.
The Stark County High School Art Exhibition features original two- and three-dimensional works by students, created as part of their school curriculums and chosen by their school’s art instructor. Each school is limited to a total of ten entries with no more than two entries per artist. Student works are judged on the basis of both originality and technical ability. Over 100 works in various media will be on display by students from around 18 Stark County high schools.
On view March 25, 2020 - April 5, 2020
